WRIF Screamin Scott Randall Pancake Art Portrait Lacey
Well kids ,had a strange day today .Its all started July 22nd tuned into The Drew & Mike show .When Drew said,"Hey , there's a naked picture of screamin scott on E-Bay! After spitting out my breakfest of corn Flakes everywhere....producer Mark said,"Well..he's not naked , but he has a Pancake on his head! Guess Drew & Mike interview was with the guy who makes portraits.(but what's with the Pancake?) Still trying to figure this one out but,still its pretty cool that anyone would paint lil' ole me in a picture. Its on e-bay follow the link or cut and paiste
Gone but not forgotten is one great ball park.Childhood memories back to even my first Football game vs. the Packers on Turkey Day. I think we lost back then too.From my days of watching Norm Cash ,Mark The Bird, till the later stars of the 90's.Concerts too. The EAGLES, ROD STEWART,ELTON JOHN,KISS,ALICE IN CHAINS,and even Detroit's own SPONGE.Countless Openning Day's with the RIFF WOW, I could go on-and -on....
But what now? as we look at a pile of rubble that could have been saved. Let's see how long it takes for something to happen (my guess is 5-10 years) There are so many great buildings (Like the Wurlitzer Build.)in detroit that just sit vacant for many many years now.What makes us think The corner of Michigan & Trumble is gonna change anytime soon. Looking at our own Detroit City Council and what's been going on , Mayor changes Police CHief changes, I donrt forsee any changes soon. Its a shame too,I kinda felt we were on a roll for a bit with the Super Bowl,NCAA tourny,Air races,Tigers in the World Series, The LIONS ......er The LIons..........well skip that,This is the year will start it up in the Fall...worst to First? ....... I just wished we really would have a concrete plan for the future before we just wreck and wait.I'm just like the rest of you....waitting.......so come'on Detroit Let's Do something........anything!
