Tuesday, November 08, 2005 As Serious As A Heartattack....
Hey all,

This is Sparky, one of Screamin Scott's co-workers at WRIF. As you might already know, Screamin Scott suffered a heartattack this past Saturday morning. I just got off the phone with him, and he's alright and resting up at the hospital. He's been getting lots of calls and seeing LOTS of visitors at the hospital, and wanted me to post a statement to his blog. So, let's get to it:

"Hello everyone! As you might have heard, I did indeed suffer a heartattack this past weekend. Please don't worry.....I am recovering quite nicely and should be out of the hospital in a few days. I really appreciate all the calls and friends showing up here in my room; it makes me feel great. I didn't know that I had this many friends! Seriously, all the love being sent my way...its amazing, and thank you! A special thanks goes out to all the nurses and doctors of ICU here at St. Joe's Mercy of Macomb for SAVING MY LIFE. I'm being treated like Arthur at a strip club; everything has been awesome! The staff here has told me that I really need to get rested up, so if you were planning to come out and see me, I humbly ask that you drop me an e-mail, and when I'm back home in the next few days, I'll return the message. One of the nurses joked that they were going to set up bleachers in my room here for all the people coming by...its been that crazy, but I really appreciate it. Again, thanks for all the prayers and well wishes. If there is a lesson to be learned here, its if you are EVER in pain, go see the right people IMMEDIATELY and get yourself checked out. Its advice that saved my life. I hope to talk to you all one way or another soon."

And so Scott went back to lunch. Like he said, he's resting and feeling pretty good. His doctors say that he'll be there for a couple of more days, so if you wanted to send anything to the hospital, send it to:

Having said all that, if you want to send him well wishes, the best thing to do might be to e-mail him at screamin@wrif.com. Scott has always been great at responding to e-mail, and I'm sure that when he's back at home resting, he'll respond back to you.

Lastly, if he didn't convey it in his statement, he really appreciates all the visitors and well wishes he's gotten so far. He is seriously overwhelmed by all the love everyone is sending his way.
