Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has vowed to snub the Grammy Awards next month,
because he can't stand the disappointment of losing again.
The band has been nominated for the eighth time, in the Best Metal Performance
category, but has yet to pick up a gong - and Taylor has given up hope.
He tells MTV News, "I'm not going to the f**king Grammys.
"This is the eighth nomination for me. I cared the first two times. Now I don't
care. A Grammy's a Grammy. Putting all my f**king hopes and dreams on some
statuette that'll probably sit in my bathroom? That's not what I'm about."

Estranged Van Halen co-stars David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar are set to reunite - in
space.
The rockers have been invited to be part of extraterrestrial research expert
Michael Luckman's highly anticipated Signal to Space Concert in 2007.
Luckman is the author of Alien Rock: The Rock 'N' Roll Extraterrestrial Connection.
The concert will beam a message of peace to outer space - and it may even bring
harmony to the troubled Van Halen twosome, according to Lee Roth.
He hints, "The headline could be: 'Aliens Reunite Van Halen, '" adding he would
happily communicate with alien life-forms "providing (they) are good-looking."
Fresh off the major success of his latest feature film, "The Devil's Rejects," ROB
ZOMBIE is returning this spring to his first passion - music - playing it live and
loud. Zombie has finished recording his third solo studio CD, "Educated Horses",
which will be released through Geffen Records.
BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE has officially dropped off CHILDREN OF BODOM's upcoming
North American tour. Instead, the band will be opening ROB ZOMBIE'

Columbia Records/Legacy Recordings will release the two-CD set "The Essential Judas
Priest" on April 4.
JUDAS PRIEST rocketed out of the tough steel town of Birmingham, England, more than
three decades ago, and the 34 songs collected here form nothing less than the very
backbone — the pure essence — of heavy metal. This uncompromising style of rock 'n'
roll has earned a remarkably loyal fan base worldwide and no other band defines

The core of vocalist Rob Halford, lead guitarists Glenn Tipton and K.K. Downing and
