Screamin' Scott's Page WRIF Midnight Metal Thursday, July 27, 2006 FUNNY THING HAPPEND ON THE WAY TO WORK Late Thursday night around 9:15pm ,I'm on 696 west bound driving the speed limit which was amazing . They had moved ALL the orange barrels and was a non-stop all the way to the station.My cell phone rings, its my friend Jim ....now I don't normally talk when i'm driving but I thought my friend Jim was in Mexico on biz. Picked up the phone and said,"hey how's Mexico?" He replied,GREAT ! by the way someone wants to say Hello...... I'm thinking who the F*** would know me in Mexico ? So Jim hands the man the phone and an un-mistakable voice comes over the phone ................ Mr.Screamin ,how are you my friend? (The person on the other end was non other then Ronnie James DIO ! How's The RIFF How's Doug? ) Well can you imagine my surprize driving on 696 , where I was amazed that i had a signal ! Talkin shop with DIO! He' let me know that he will be back in the Motor City soon in Feb, with the Deep Purple tour! We talked for about 5 mins or so with idle chit chat ,on the new cd (studio) comming soon and other small talk . Thinking what a small world ,Thankxz to my friend Jim for thinkin of me ,and thankxz to Ronnie . Wow ,makes you wonder what will happin tomorrow eh?
