CORROSION OF CONFORMITY's official web site has just been updated with the following message from guitarist Woody Weatherman:

"Mike Dean [bass], Jason Paterson [drums] and myself have been back at it just a bit. After a hiatus during the last half of summer, we have been holed up out at my place doing some writing and jamming the tunes a little. Pepper [Keenan; guitar/vocals] is in New Orleans working on some DOWN material, as most of you all know. So it may still be a spell before we'll have any new C.O.C. see the light of day.

Despite going on hiatus after last year's Ozzfest, System Of A Down have not officially broken up... but they still could. In an interview with Kerrang!, singer Serj Tankian tells fans, "I honestly don't know if System of A Down are over or not. I don't know. Maybe in a few years we'll want to make another album. Or maybe we'll want to tour, or maybe we'll want to play a benefit show. It's impossible to tell right now. It'll be later down the line that we'll be able to tell what might happen."
